Product description

Date: January 8 - February 5 Day: Mondays Time: 6:30 - 9:30 pm Instructor: Claire O'Connor Description: Want to learn the basics of making ceramic objects? Try one of these introductory classes focusing on construction and glazing techniques. These classes have fewer students and shorter sessions, ensuring plenty of student-teacher contact time-ideal if you have little or no experience with clay. We will also investigate the concept of embedding self-assessment into your creative process. Get immersed during five weeks of clay instruction. We recommend you take this class two or more times (within one quarter, or over consecutive quarters) building your skills and preparing you for beginner level classes. Wear old clothes, and bring an old towel, a one-gallon bucket, and a beginner’s set of pottery tools to the first class. Tool kits are available for purchase at NCC. Lab fee includes one bag of clay (25 pounds), all glazing materials, firings, and open studio access.
