Lisa Buck
Afton, Minnesota

Lisa Buck is a potter and educator living and working in the St. Croix River Valley of Minnesota and holds degrees in art education and ceramics from the University of WI-LaCrosse. Buck uses a combination of wheel-thrown, hand-built or carved techniques to produce her pieces featuring generous forms, hardy feet and heart. The interplay of glazed and unglazed areas characterizes her electric-fired functional work. Buck has been the recipient of the Jerome Foundation Project Grant for Emerging Artists, an educational grant to study the historic pottery (La Borne, France), and has been greatly influenced by the years she lived in Morocco. Her work has been exhibited in galleries nationwide and can be found in numerous publications.
