Kevin Wilcoxson currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, where he makes functional handbuilt porcelain pottery and maintains the Wilcoxson Brooklyn Ceramics studio. His work consists of an amalgamation of New Modern and Contemporary aesthetics with a twist of haptic and tactile handmade quality and beauty. Through his process, Wilcoxson combines traditional Mingei style Japanese Art and Industrial Design. Wilcoxson received his BFA from from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, and MFA from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Wilcoxson’s current and past clients include numerous museum stores: Minneapolis Institute of Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Institute of Contemporary Art Boston Museum Store, and New Orleans Art Museum.
