Our long summer days and July’s scorching heat will soon be traded for cool breezes and the fiery foliage of fall. While it may still feel distant, the time to trade in parasols for light jackets and scarves will soon be upon us. With this transition, it will be time to return to your own studies as you investigate your creative side. Come on back to the warmth of NCC’s studios and the marvelously malleable material we all know and love…CLAY! We are here and ready to help you kick off your fall with plenty of class options for functional and sculptural makers. Our roster will pique the interest of anyone looking to get their hands dirty with a little clay.
We continue to offer more open studio time than many other clay studios in the Twin Cities, leaving you plenty of time to digest demonstrations and practice your craft independently. Adult students generally have access to our studios from 9 am to 9 pm four days a week, from 4:30 to 9:30 on Mondays when space is available, and from 9 am until midnight on Tuesdays and Thursdays (subject to other NCC events and programming). Browse our open studio schedule online to check the most up-to-date listing of available studios.
Our introductory classes are perfect for first-time students with a more flexible six-week schedule. We’re proud to present a diverse cast of expert teaching artists to help guide your experience.
Check out our ART@HAND programs. Classes in this section are designed for and easily accessible to older adults.
Preview our autumn classes here. Classes open for registration on Tuesday, July 23 at 10 am.
