Classes for Adults & Kids

Amidst myriad uncertainties, Northern Clay Center has remained proactive in our response and continually monitors the most up-to-date recommendations from both the Minnesota Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

In light of the most current information available, and to prioritize the health and safety of our community, we have developed a new series of online classes called Clay-Along and are planning for an in-person fall session due to begin the week of September 14.

We will be holding these classes in a safe, and appropriately-distanced manner. The following are strategies that NCC has put into place to keep our studios as safe as possible for all who enter our facilities:

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

  • Class sizes and open studio use are limited to 8 students per studio
  • A self health screening through a checklist of COVID-19 related symptoms (posted at each entrance) must be passed before entering NCC facilities
  • Masks/face coverings are required inside NCC facilities as mandated by the City of Minneapolis and State of Minnesota Executive Orders
  • 6 feet of safe distance is required in the studios as much as possible. This is facilitated by the spacing of wheels and workspaces, and spaced markings on the floor to indicate safe distance in the studios
  • Wheels and non-porous surfaces are disinfected daily, with disinfecting spray available in each studio to be used as needed
  • Students must agree and sign NCC’s COVID-19 Acknowledgement Form before participating in NCC classes.
