Peter Jadoonath holds a BFA from Bemidji State University and has been the recipient of several honors including a Jerome Foundation Emerging Artist Project Grant, the Red Wing Pottery Collectors Society award, and a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant. His functional stoneware pottery focuses on texture, balance, and negative space. He says, “I don’t take myself too seriously but I do take my craft seriously. Through my craft, I honor timelessness, tradition, ancestors, and predecessors. I strive for this by following my intuition, seeking self-realization, working hard, and gathering patience to take risks.” Currently, Jadoonath is a teaching artist at NCC and maintains a studio in Shafer, Minnesota.
