Lynn Latta received her BFA from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, in 1988. Since that time Latta has participated in various extension programs at Brentwood Art Center and UCLA. In 2010, Latta began a mentorship program at Multnomah Art Center, studying under multimedia jeweler and sculptor Kristin Shiga. Latta’s passion for the arts began when she was young and learned ceramics and oil painting in the mountains above Palm Springs. Her wearable ceramic works are meant to interact with the wearer in a tactile and visual way. Components of these wearable vessels are wheel thrown, cut, and assembled.
