Judith Yourman designs and markets her work under the label CeramicWear Jewelry. Creating jewelry allows her to integrate her past and present practices in art- from designer to conceptual artist to sculptor. Her work moves between simple shapes/colors to playful quotations of everyday life. Working with a variety of clay bodies and combinations of glazes, she crafts original works of wearable art. Yourman is the recipient of grants from the Jerome Foundation and the Minnesota State Arts Board, as well as multiple Fellowships from the McKnight Foundation. She has taught at St. Olaf College, Carleton College, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work is included in a number of collections, including the Weisman Art Museum and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
