Doug Peltzman is a studio potter living and working in Shokan, New York. He primarily works in porcelain and earthenware, creating functional and decorative objects for the kitchen and home. Peltzman has been a juror and curator for national exhibitions. He has taught workshops at various art centers and universities across the United States, including Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee; Peters Valley School of Craft in Layton, New Jersey; Goggleworks in Reading, Pennsylvania; Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia; University of Northern Texas in Denton, Texas; The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and the State University of New York at New Paltz.
