Albion Stafford is an Assistant Professor of Ceramics at Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. He completed both his MFA and BFA in ceramics at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Stafford’s work is in public and private collections including the Shanghai Arts and Crafts Museum in Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China, and the Schein-Joseph International Museum of Ceramic Art at Alfred, New York. He has taught workshops throughout New York, Massachusetts, Montana, and Colorado. He states, “I make objects for the table. The table exists as a recipient terrain, accepting a range of occurrence and exploits, particularly those of action and interaction. Within this space are the possibilities for composing both a collective image, as well as an instigation of activity.”
